Kripalu yoga was originally taught in the West by Amrit Desai, a student of Swami Kripalvanandaji (Swami Kripalu). What defines Kripalu Yoga is its emphases on following the flow of life-force energy, practicing compassionate self-acceptance, observing the activity of the mind without judgment, and taking what is learned “off the mat” and into daily life.
Classes are held at 19 Factory Street (upstairs). You access our studio via the loading dock of 24 Water Street.
